Carbon neutral driver guiding!

How does it work? For every two days driver guiding I will plant one tree in association with the Woodland Trust. I will send a certificate to the clients. The forest I have chosen is on the West Kilpatrick Hills, just outside Dumbarton.

You may wonder, why does he not just buy an electric vehicle? The main problem is range. I would be lucky to get 170 miles from an electric van, I can sometimes do twice that in a day. Plus the recharging infrastructure is patchy and recharging takes time. Silicone batteries are on the horizon and they should solve that problem.

Hairy coos = Highland Cattle

There are a few places in Scotland where you can guarrantee a close up encounter with Highland Cattle. Cow being ‘coo’ in Scots they are affectionately known as ‘hairy coos’ here. The thick coat protects them from the cold in winter and from insects in summer. Although they look fierce they are actually very gentle creatures.

Heather in blossom!

People see postcards of Scotland with the hills covered in purple heather and imagine it is like that all the time. Not true! The heather blossoms only for a few weeks in early spring and in August. Though I did manage to find thi犀利士5mg
s small clump of blossoming heather on Loch Lomond in July. I think its bioclock must need resetting.

St.Andrews
